SUMMER is HERE

We are so glad that summer is finally here! After a cold spring, school is out for all of us. Chris graduated last December with his bachelors. We are so proud of him and his accomplishments. It was a long road, but he did it. I thought for sure we were going to move on this spring time. I kept thinking we would be going back home. He had applied at a few places in Vernal and Salt lake. He had interviews and they really liked him, but nothing worked out. He heard about a paid internship for the school district, here in Logan. So he applied and we decided that he would work there and gain experience while still looking for other jobs. As it turned out a few months later his supervisor, decided to take another job else where. So my husband and the other interns applied. We knew there was a small chance he would even get it. They had a lot of applicants from the valley and out siders too. I even applied for a job at the ER in Vernal. Chris had his interview, it went well, A few weeks went by, we didn't hear anything. Than the hospital called me for a interview. That went well,  than they wanted to meet me in person. So on May 3 we loaded up and were headed to Vernal for my interview and visit family. On our way there Chris gets the CALL, he got offered the job. We were shocked and excited.  He accepted it. So now we will be staying here. We have made this place our home. For the last 5 years we thought this was temporary. We even bought a new townhome a few years ago, as an investment. We'll stay in our home for awhile, making it ours. I have all these ideas. I'm pretty lucky I have a husband who is very handy, and shares my ideas too. Austins school is great, we have good neighbors. I have a good job at the hospital part time. Our family feels very blessed.

We are happy to be here. Trying to keep up with all the summer stuff and do a few projects around the house. I love this time of year lazy mornings and barbacues. On the down side allergies have been horrible. Chris told me about a splash park in the valley. So we decided to go the kids loved it. Seriously I love those two, they are the best kids. Of course they fight but they still play together. I'm happy they have each other. I missed out on that growing up as a only child. I can't believe how big the are getting.  Let's make this a fun  summer 2013. Lots love Maria

Recape and great site

Well I'm back for a minute, I have a few posts to caught up on. first I wanted to share a cool blog, about a lady who lives on $14,000 a year. She if very inspirational. I may not want to be as frugal as her, but at the same time I do want to start saving. I always struggle with budgets, I get too over whelmed, but I do want to do better. http://www.blissfulanddomestic.com I will add her on my personal and blog and DYI blog too. With lots of love Maria

I can't believe its October already, where did the time go. I haven't been blogging due to my work schedule and the kids and house duties. But I'm loving it all, it makes a good recipe. So much has happened since last Spring I will try to caught up and blog about the highlights. But for now I better get the kids ready for bed and do a couple of hair cuts for people, and get a couple of pictures edited for my other photography blog. Thanks for looking till later, Love Maria

New Year 2012

New Year wow I can't believe 2011 is over seems crazy to me. That time flies so fast. I constantly read on Facebook how time drags for some, or how boarded they are. Holly I wish I had those moments. But no I'm always needing a couple of more hrs a day. I hope we all had a good year and are ready for the next. I have learned a lot in the last year. I learned more about my self as a person. How to push myself and the kinda of determination I have. Last year I took on the task of refinishing old dressers and making it ours. Its a great feeling to see the pieces in my home, how a little elbow work you can transform it into something new. One thing I never thought I would enjoy doing after having kids is working out side of the home. But it has worked out for our family. I have a good job which allows my to work in the evenings part time and Chris loves his time with the kids. But if I had to leave my kids in day care. I would just stay home. My job has given me the opportunity to have insurance for my family. Which in to days world is very important. I have found out that I will always work, not full time put part time. My family comes first of course and always will, but I need this for me. To feel independent, that I can help out. I want to go back to school and have a career in the medical field.

The things I'm looking forward to this year is. First of all is Chris graduating College, this is just a big deal to us. After putting school second or putting school off because of our circumstances. The last of couple of years we have scarified allot for him to go full time and just finish. I'm so proud of him. He has pushed himself as a student and father and husband. He seriously is so amazing, works full time/goes to school full time and gets A's and takes care of the kids when I work, he is rare! He is someone to look up to, he has accomplished allot he is talented, and smart. I swear the guy can do anything he puts his mind too. Has remolded our old house several years ago, finished the basement. He's just a great person, love that guy. Looking forward is after graduation whether we stay here, or move. I'm okay with most things. I guess we go where the jobs are at.

Austin is excited to go to school on the bus this year. I can't believe my baby is going to kindergarten. Sydney is excited to that she can play soccer this year. Last year she so badly wanted to but was still to young.

I have set some goals for myself this 201
* run 300 miles for the year.
* workout at least 3 times a week.
* learn to love cooking more at home
* take more time to do photography, I love it just a slacker
* take more pictures of our little family this year and print them.
* to not be just a procrastinator, although I love the rush of getting stuff done. I need less stress.
* BE A BETTER MOM AND WIFE, I know I can do better there is always space for improvements.
* finish decorating our home.
* blog more.

I think those goals are doable. Excited to get started.
What can I say I love my life! Maria

Privacy

I will be making this blog private for now, one of the reasons I don't blog as much is because I never know who is reading my family blog. I want to share my doings of my family, but still protect my young family. Let me know if you want an invite. Love my life

Kiddos

What can I say I suck at blogging. Sorry but I have a crazy busy life. Just a catch up this summer we went to Vegas and CA on a whim. We decided to go some where fun this summer, and we already had a few days off, with some switches I was able to get more days off at work. We packed up and headed out on Thursday and came back up on Monday. We drove to Vegas and stayed at the ExCaliber the kids did so good during the drive, but next time I think we will save enough money to fly to CA. The next day we did the strip and then headed off to CA. I love that place, we where on a tight budget so we mostly did the beaches and a few local places to eat. We got an awesome deal on our hotel through priceline. The kids had so much fun. Austy still talks about the beach. Other than that we just stayed around here. Austin took swim lessons again, he is a fish. That kid can dunk his whole body in the water and not have to plug his nose. That is a miracle to me since I always have to plug my. He is getting really good. He loves to wear his goggles so he does a lot better. Sydney and I where his cheerleaders. Chris took a couple of summer class, yuck but it had to be done. Thanks Chris for all your hard work. I'm still working at the hospital. Here is the picture in Vegas loved our room and the view.

The kids love to play and fight. This is the first for me, I'm an only child so all this is very different for me to see how they play and fight. Chris tells me its normal, they are quite competitive and Sydney just love to contradict Austin he will say yes and she will say no, visa verse. But they are best friends its so cute. Today I was doing my hair in the bathroom and the kids where playing in our room. I could hear them playing in my closet Sydney would say " Good night Austy give me kiss k, I love you. They kept taking turns putting each other pretend sleep. It seriously melted my heart. They were giggling and just having a blast. I'm so glad they have each other. A couple months ago, when we went home to visit our families. Gavin, Sydney's younger cousin just loves her and she is very shy around other people anyways he gets excited and starts hitting of course not very hard. I heard Austin out loud to who ever could hear him, saying "He is hitting my sisi" He has started to be protective of her. Sydney is a cutie pie. Likes jewelry and likes her hair done. She is always carrying a baby around and if you ask her the name of her baby she calls him or her baby Gavin. The funniest thing she has been saying is, I'll say Sydney are you cute and her response is "no I'm not, I'm 2". That's all for now, what can I say.
